I was in the mood for a simple in-between project and came across this knitting pattern.
The Jenne Sweater by Sunny Grey. A raglan jumper knitted in stockinette with a beautiful back neckline that is also cut in such a way that a bra, for example, is generally concealed. And my first fittings while I was knitting showed that it’s true! YEAH!

Unfortunately, the wool specified in the pattern is no longer available. Ok, some rare leftovers probably are, especially because you don’t need much, but there wasn’t a colour available that I even remotely liked. And unfortunately I couldn’t find anything really comparable.
Yarn
So I had to change my plans and try something else. To my great delight, I then remembered that I had been given some lace wool (ALPAWOOL® Baby 400 Lace in wine red melange) some time ago, which I hadn’t known what to do with yet.
And lucky me… I managed the stitch gauge of the Jenne Sweater with two threads of yarn, even if my row gauge is slightly smaller. But since my shoulder area in terms of proportions (width – front vs. back), especially with raglan, is always tricky, I had to slightly adjust the pattern no matter what. But this is a problem I’m familiar with and one that I generally have difficulties with in both knitting and sewing projects. So no need for you to worry about it.
Adjustments while I knit
For this reason, I haven’t finished the body yet, but have put it on hold and started with the sleeves. Simply to see how the jumper sits on my body with sleeves and whether I might have to add a few extra rows at the back to achieve the same length at the front and back. But as I said, I first have to have a look at it. I’m currently absolutely happy with my previous try-ons.
