A Thousand and one Suns

I’ve had this knitting pattern (A Thousand and One Suns by ZANETE knits) in my head for quite some time now. The pattern is simply beautiful, but it is worked with a yoke, something that is always a bit difficult with my shoulders, but I just had to give it a try now.

(INFO: unpaid & unsolicited advertising, as knitting pattern, designer and wool used are mentioned)

I really like how it looks so far, even though I can definitely see room for improvement in my thread tension… but I’m not really proficient in colour work yet, and as a ‘very tight’ knitter, it’s also a bit difficult to get the work to be ‘loose’.

About the used yarn

Although the wool mentioned is beautiful, it is far beyond my financial means, so I decided to use Winter Glow in colour 03 and as contrast Winter Glow solid also in colour 03 (both by Hobbii) and I really like my colour choice.

And unfortunately, yes unfortunately, it is a little tight around the shoulders, but at the moment I am still optimistic. I just need to try out a piece of sleeve to see how it looks in terms of my freedom of movement and the fit. So for now it’s still a case of hoping and praying…
