The knitting pattern Ellie Summer Top by Simone Ryan – in progress, my little project to relax!
(INFO: unpaid & unsolicited advertising, as knitting pattern, designer and wool used are mentioned)
As I unfortunately only have very little time at the moment and all this is just a hobby of mine, everything is progressing much more slowly than I would actually like. But well, sometimes priorities just have to be set differently.
Nevertheless, I do need a little relaxation from time to time!
Just to clear my head for a few minutes here and there and do something different. So I picked out a little knitting project that I’ve wanted to do for a while.
The Ellie Summer Top – in progress:
I use the Lana Grossa Meilenweit Seta in the colour 26 (blackberry).
Yes, this is a merino sock wool (55% virgin wool, 25% polyamide, 20% silk). The 20% silk content simply appealed to me. It feels really soft on the skin, is very elastic, very economical and machine washable!
It’s certainly not the best choice, but I kind of managed the gauge, even if I had to adjust a few little things.
The instructions are well written and detailed. The work is fun and not too complicated, so you can make good progress. I may well knit the top again in a slightly more suitable wool, but for now I’m looking forward to finishing this one! 😉
