This is my second Skyscraper Cardigan after the pattern by Norah Gaughan, that’s why I call it V2 = version 2. If you enter ‘Skyscarper’ in the search on my blog you will also get to the posts about my version 1 and all the silly mistakes I made back then.
These flaws were probably the reason why I didn’t like this cardigan too much at first and hardly wore it. But that has changed completely. Unfortunately, my first one is now looking a bit worn out as I wore it from spring to autumn (for years) at every opportunity. That’s why I now need a new one.
My progress so far
I have already finished the first two pieces. The construction looks a bit strange, as you first just knit some individual pieces. So I worked the collar first, then picked up stitches from it and knitted the back panel on directly. Now I am going to start with the 2 front lapels, which are also worked as individual pieces. The cardigan is then shaped by picking up stitches from the back panel, the collar and the front lapels and you work the sleeves sideways.
HERE you can find some information about the wool I have chosen for my version 2.
