Some time ago, I was given a beautiful wooden wool winder as a gift. However, since then I somehow haven’t found any wool for one of my projects that needs to be wound first.
That’s why the decision was taken away from me a little, because I got the matching wool. The wool was also a gift and I think it’s beautiful.
Info: unpaid advertising – simply because I am enthusiastic! Even though the wool was a gift for me, it was not provided to me free of charge by a retailer or the manufacturer. It was simply a private gift for me, bought especially for this purpose).
I particularly like the fact that this wool, “Permin Luna“, is a yarn made from 100% recycled wool.
Recycled in what way?
This wool is made from fibres sorted out from normal production. These discarded fibres are then sorted by color, carded, spun and wound into new skeins. This process therefore requires less energy, chemicals and water. In other words, it is environmental protection in action, something that is becoming more and more important these days, even if many people still don’t want to realise it.
Permin Luna:
Material: 100% recycled wool
Color: 34 – Mauve
Weight/length: 50 g = approx. 175 metres
Recommended needles: 3.50 mm
Stitch gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 21 stitches x 30 rows
It can also be machine-washed at 30°C (wool cycle), which is a very important point for me because I simply don’t like hand washing.
And, of course, I started winding this wool right way! 🙂 There were a few slight tangles and I’m glad I had some help, but otherwise it worked really well. My balls of yarn were wound up neatly and are holding together well.
Now the fun – namely working with this wool – can begin!
